Along with the aesthetic look and appeal that goes with our frames we gaurantee that they will not discolour, warp or need painting. All our frames have the glazing bead to the inside (internally beaded), preventing the removal from the outside which is a very important security aspet of double glazing. All our transoms and mullions are fully welded which stops them moving through time.
We can supply 60mm or 70mm frames depending on your personal choice with no price difference. The frames we supply are manufactured from from REHAU profiles with a choice of TRITEC (60 mm) system or S706 (70mm) system. All frames are produced to British kitemark Standards BS 7412 and BS 7950. If required, these items can be supplied to comply to BFRC A,B or C rating. We also supply VEKA profiles.
All windows and doors supplied by Fortress have double glazed units (or triple glazed) with LOW E glass, are ARGON GAS filled as standard.
We do not cut corners regarding our quality standards. U-values are now manditory in building control regulations and all new installations should have a U-value of 1.8 minimum (the lower the better) and glass units carry a 1.5 value, which means more heat retension and more noise reduction.

We do not employ salesman,we do not do cold calling, and we do not pester you after we have given you a price.You only deal with one person, the owner of the company (Peter Murray) who will give you a price and leave it with you to decide.
15 minutes is the normal time for us to be in your house, just enough time to take some quick sizes and ask you for your profered styles and colour etc.The cost of your windows or doors is usually given to you via a phone call the next day or if you prefer we can give you the cost at the visit, which would take a little longer.

If you are looking for a price for replacement windows and doors but can only be in at night, its not a problem as we can come out anytime to take some sizes and give you advise, just give us a call.
Timescales for installations is usually 10 days from the job being agreed, if its a trade supply we can turn the windows around in 5 working days, even if we are busy, if its an emegency we can supply even quicker. Most of our installations and trade sales come from recommendations.
