Q. When you say you have changed direction does this mean that the company has changed in any way as far as ownership
or directorship etc.?
A. ABSOLUTLY NOT. Fortress Doors and Windows has built up a reputation since 1995 and now we feel that it’s time
to change direction which will repay our trade customers especially for their custom throughout the years and (as its already proven)
increase our turn over.
Q. What’s the general difference from before?
A. Apart from saving a substantial amount of money you can have
REHAU windows and doors manufactured in 70mm frames or 60mm frames at no extra cost.
Q. Is the glass in the windows still the same?
A.
No. New regulations state that all windows and doors must have ‘LOW E’ Glass as per building control. Our frames now have ‘LOW E’
glass as well as the new ‘TRISEAL’ system which comes as standard with our frames (28mm thick.) ARGON GAS filled units can be added
as an extra.
Q. Are the beads in the windows to the inside or the outside?
A. All frames installed or supplied by Fortress have the
beads to the INSIDE of the frames which eliminated the possibility of them being removed from the outside. This is also beneficial
if glass has to be replaced upstairs as it can be done from inside the house.
Q. How quick can I have my frames ready for installation?
A.
If you order your frames on a Monday before noon you can have them the following Tuesday morning.
Q. Is there going to be any exposure
to the trade and public regarding the new costing of your frames?
A. Yes. A comprehensive newspaper advertisement package has been
set in place for the very near future.
Q. Can I buy fully reversible windows from Fortress?
A. Yes, before we changed direction
this is a product that we never really thought of as an ‘in demand’ product, but over the last year or so we have found that (especially
in the new build sector) that it is the exact opposite. Multi-story flats and high rise buildings in general require reversible windows
as standard, and with the high specification of REHAU profiles that we provide you won’t need to look any further.
