Fortress Window Ltd was started way back in 1995 in a small unit in Motherwell with the help of a small loan from the Princes Trust and a lot of much appreciated help from the Lanarkshire Development Agency. The experience of the management and the contacts gathered throughout the years came in handy as a small but consistent customer base began to appreciate the quality and more importantly the customer care that that was provided by Fortress. After a year the expansion of the company was so fast that we moved to a larger factory unit in Wishaw where we settled for a few years and began to do more and more installations and broke into the conservatory market which to this day is still as successful as ever, especially in the supply only sector. In 2001 Fortress where then forced again to move to bigger premises in Motherwell where we are to this day. REHAU PROFILES, who are regarded in all aspects of the uPVC window industry as the ultimate extrusion manufacturers, then came on board to supply us with our profiles and the trade and domestic customer base strengthened again. After a small change in management in 2005 the company went from strength to strength and now has a well run factory employing 8 people. We are a family run company who do not employ salesman although we do a lot of installations, mostly recommendations or repeat business. You only deal with one person when you need a quotation (the owner Peter Murray) and a quotation only takes 15 minutes, NO PRESSURE SALESMAN are employed by Fortress. We only give you advice, take some sizes and get back to you the next day by phone, fax or e-mail.
